Lately....

We met Gigi, Granddad, and Abby in Arkadoo for supper....

Phillip buzzed his head like Courtney's!
We went to spend time with Courtney and the rest of the family after chemo treatment #2.

Parker went to the Mother/Son dance with me at school!
I went in to wake him one morning, and he said, "Don't talk so loud!"
We celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary!
 Truett came to play!
 And Tulip is still lazy...

Valentines Day and Go Ravens!

I know it's a little late, but I wanted to post this cute picture of Parker and Phillip before church on Superbowl Sunday. They wore black sweaters with purple Polo horses. Obviously, they were cheering on the Ravens. I think Aunt Anna and Uncle Brenden would disown us if we didn't support them!

And here is the infamous Lego Valentine's box. When I found out Parker needed one for school, I assigned the task to Phillip. I'd had a busy few weeks at work and quite honestly I didn't have time to make one. I knew if I gave this assignment to Phillip, he'd overdo it. That's really one of the reasons I love this man. He found the picture online, drew plans for it (yes, he really did), bought all the supplies, created it, and sprayed it with primer before he even spray painted it (so the shoebox wouldn't show through). And I'm just gonna be real honest, there was definitely a ruler involved...and a hot glue gun. Yes, he is the best. And no I'm not giving him up. The best part is when he walked in with Parker's name typed out. The conversation went something like this:
Me: "Who gave you this paper with his name on it?"
Phillip: "I found Lego font! I downloaded it and typed his name for his box! Isn't that great?!"

Did I mention I love this man?

Chemo

My sister Courtney began chemo a few weeks ago. She has stage 2 breast cancer. If you're reading this,  my whole family would really appreciate your prayers for her healing. I had the pleasure of taking her to her first treatment. After a few hurdles in getting started with the drugs, her first treatment (when they finally started it) went pretty smoothly.

I took this picture the day after the treatment. I was getting ready to head back to Parker and Phillip, but I really didn't want to leave them.

Baltimore, DC, and Baby Caroline!

We fell completely in love with Baby Caroline. She's the sweetest, prettiest little thing. She's really laid back and so, so good! Parker LOVED her. I'm talking he wanted to hold her, kiss her, touch her, and maybe he might have stuck his fingers in her eyes when he wanted her to wake up.

While we were in Baltimore, we went to the train museum. It was in a huge roundhouse, and Parker had a blast!
We also celebrated Baby Caroline's christening. Phillip and I are so blessed and honored to be her godparents.

This is during the ceremony. He was really good considering he's never had to sit still and be quiet for that long. When we returned to town, he said, "You have to be quiet at Baby Caroline's church." This was a foreign concept to a little boy who plays hard at his church!

On our last day there, we explored DC. We'd all been before, but this was Parker's first trip.

His favorite thing was the Museum of Natural History!

Christmas part 2- NYC!

We had plans to fly out to see baby Caroline, Anna, and Brenden on Christmas day. However.....due to the snow, we weren't able to leave until the 26th. We had train tickets from Baltimore to NYC that left at 5:30 am on the 27th. So.....we landed in DC around midnight and by the time we got our rental car and got to Anna and Brenden's house, it was 2:30 am. We visited for a few minutes and then slept for about an hour before we had to leave to catch our train. CRAZY! I must say that Parker was such a trooper....he was so, so good!

The good part of missing our flight was playing in the snow!
One of the bad parts of waiting for the flight was sleeping in the airport!

For a little boy who is obsessed with Legos, the Batman Lego display at FAO Schwartz was probably the coolest thing ever!

We rode the ferris wheel at the Toys R Us in Times Square.

And of course we had to go see the Rockefeller plaza tree!
